The primary objective of this course is to help you better understand the significance of today’s social media marketing tools, and how to implement and evaluate these tools for an organization. During this course, I had the opportunity to create a social media plan that will include multiple creative social media strategies. This course also highlights best practices in social media marketing through mini-case discussions on forward-thinking and innovative companies and organizations.

The course learning objectives include: 
1. Understand why social media is important and how it has evolved over the last decade.
2. Identify critical social media marketing goals, and how to create supporting social media strategies
3. Identify various types of online target audiences and relate them to Forrester’s Social Technographics Profile Tool
4. Understand how to utilize current and emerging social media tools for successful social media marketing
5. Understand the significance of social media monitoring 

6. Apply best practices in social media marketing to forward-thinking and innovative companies and organizations through mini-case discussions
7. Create a social media plan

Social Media Marketing Plan Pitch Presentation 

In the first part of the project, my group created and presented a complete social media marketing plan for a local seafood restaurant, Catch 31. This plan includes an evaluation of its social media presence, a SWOT analysis, an identification of the restaurant’s target market, and social media creatives. â€‹â€‹We then proposed goals, strategies, tactics, and strategic solutions for the restaurant to increase engagement and visibility on social media

 

After completing this project, I am able to develop a complete social media plan for an organization. I am also able to analyze and fully understand the problems companies face on social media. Lastly, this project gave me the ability to come up with strategic solutions to help promote the social media presence and audience engagement of the organization.
