Leadership
Contemporary Organization and Management
MGMT 325
MGMT 325 Contemporary Organizations and Management is a course I took online during my time at ODU. This course focused on the fundamentals of the managerial process (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling). This course is considered a high-impact leadership course because it involves understanding contemporary organization management and leadership styles through course content and writing assignments like the ones displayed below. Topics are almost evenly split between macro and micro perspectives.

Throughout this course, I developed relationship skills such as collaboration and interpersonal communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and change management. These skills will help me reach my future goals by increasing my awareness of the importance of organization and management within an organization, and how proper use of those factors creates a positive employee/employer relationship. Gaining the skills and knowledge from this experience, will not only develop my interpersonal skills but make my future goals more attainable. Understanding the different ways firms organize and manage their companies gives me a well-rounded perspective that could benefit future jobs. It also makes me a more adaptable individual.
